若手 『わぁーくん』
この春からエントリーの和田君。
じゃっかん19歳。
『わぁーくん』とか『わぁーちゃん』とか
時にはストレートに『わだくん』とか呼んでいる。
本人は『ゆうくん』
と呼ばれたかったらしいが
わぁーくんもなかなかがんばってる。
彼は育ち盛りなんだろうな。
いっつも寝てる。
行きの車の中
昼休み。
帰りの車の中。
さすがに岡山行きの時は朝６時集合なので
それが答えるのかもしれない。
ただ懐かしいんだな。
僕が１５とか１６の頃。
土木作業員のアルバイトをしていたときは確か５時４０分とかに
迎えが来ていた。
よくは覚えていないがとりあえず早かった。
だからいつも寝ていた。
仕事って８時から５時。
そのほかの時間は寝ていないと損だと思っていた。
彼がそうだって言うんじゃなくて
そう思っていた自分を思い出す。
今では何かのスイッチが入って違うことになっているけど
なんだか若い彼を見ていたら
学校に行きながらバイトばかりしていた自分を思い出す。
多いときは４つのバイトを掛け持ちをしていた。
とにかく眠かったなぁ。
最近『わぁーくん』は
鏝を握る機会が増えてきた。
それが彼にはおもしろいらしい。
彼がうちに入ったのは
訓練校を卒業するにあたり
面接にやってきた。
空間工房とは大工さんの会社だと思っていたらしい。
それがどうも大工の会社じゃないみたい。
・・・。
と思っていたらおもしろそう・・・。
ってことになったのかな。
そりゃ。これから左官屋さんは不足してくる。
大工不足よりも深刻だ。
だから左官屋さんになった方がいいと伝えた。
本物の左官屋さんになるか
珪藻土屋になるかどちらかがいいんじゃないのかな。
本物の左官屋って言うと語弊があるかもしれないけど
わかる人にはわかるかな。
最近テレビにもよく出てくるし。
元気出るな。
どんどん左官屋さんもクローズアップしてほしいな。
職人ってすごいモンね。
